European Ambassador visits Bucaramanga

Gilles Bertrand, ambassador of the European Union to Colombia, visited Bucaramanga on 4 November 2022. During the visit, Bertrand learned about the progress of the implementation of the Inclusive Cities program in the city. On his tour, the dignitary visited the mural “At Granjas we respect differences”, located in the Granjas de Provenza neighborhood, created and elaborated by Venezuelan refugees, migrants and members of the host community. The project has also supported various ventures for the population in a situation of human mobility, some of which were shared with Ambassador Bertrand, who got to know them first-hand and the entrepreneurs shared with him their experience, expectations and dreams for the future with their projects. Finally, the ambassador shared with a group of refugee, migrant and host community children and adolescents, who took photography classes supported by the project and captured their best shots in a book that they delivered to him.
