Urban Inclusion Marker

For the design of the Marker, the 3 pillars of the right to the city are taken as reference:

Fair distribution of resources

It considers spatial conditions (location, proximity, risk factors and coverage of services and infrastructure) through tangible elements such as: housing, health and well-being, education and culture, public space and employment and opportunities.

Diversity and social, economic and cultural equity

Considers socioeconomic conditions (affordability, unemployment, gaps in access to health, education, access to opportunities, social diversity) through tangible elements such as: housing, health and well-being, education and culture, public space and employment and opportunities.

Inclusive governance

It also contemplates its inclusive urban governance frameworks that are essential for improving prosperity and inclusion in the city for all inhabitants.

Basic Urban Inclusion Marker

Extended Urban Inclusion Marker

The Urban Inclusion Marker is a georeferenced compound index that allows the measurement of a city’s aggregate level of inclusion and its potential contribution to the spatial, social, economic and cultural integration of its inhabitants.
The Extended Marker complements the methodology of the Basic Urban Inclusion Marker, incorporating new information specific to each city and informationon the reality and location of the venezuelan refugees and migrants, as well as other population group of interest.
