34 refugees, migrants and members of the host community participated in the workshop on the 4 Rs to generate good environmental practices: reject, recover, reuse, recycle. Accompanied by the Secretary of the Environment of Quito, the participants were made aware of the management of solid waste, this being an activity prior to the recycling journey that took place on August 20, 2022. The participants acquired knowledge about the impact that generation of solid waste has and its scarce treatment causes the environment, having the opportunity to reflect and identify management alternatives and future opportunities to take advantage of solid waste both for the production of organic fertilizer and composting at the family level, as well as the contribution to the cycle recycling and reuse of materials such as cardboard, plastic, glass.
