Joint pots are citizen initiatives of support or food attention, which can be of a temporary or permanent nature, of community participation. They bring together people in vulnerable situations who cannot access food or who do not have the economic capacity to acquire it. In order to implement this experience in Cucuta, an exchange of experiences was carried out with the Peruvian capital, since the Joint Pots initiative in Lima, Peru, has been quite successful in the integration of the refugee and migrant population with the host community. This seeks to promote neighborhood organization to face hunger in the context of the pandemic, through joint pots and strengthen capacities in their management for their self-sustainability (nutrition, health, organization and administration). The participation of private entities has even been achieved, which act as adopters and make donations for self-management; in turn, the municipality of Lima provides guidance, accompaniment, training and follow-up. To date, 485 common pots have been trained, which have received the support of civil society and NGOs, churches and companies.
