Integration activity in Manta

A community integration activity was held on 11 September 2023 in Manta, in which the outer space of the Azart Ship was renovated. This project brought together efforts and expertise to beautify and enhance this iconic location in San Mateo.

A total of 25 people were part of this initiative, 12 of them being the main participants in the self-construction and plumbing workshop held on 7th and 8th September. These participants enthusiastically and skillfully applied the knowledge gained during the workshop, guided by architecture students from the Eloy Alfaro Manabi University an experienced construction expert.

In addition to the workshop participants, this group also benefited from the valuable contribution of 3 Venezuelan persons, who joined the session alongside members of the local community. Together, they carried out various tasks, including painting the fence, cleaning the beach, casting columns for installing the roof of the stage cover, and painting the stands.

It was an enriching event in which the coming together of different individuals, cultures, and skills succeeded in transforming the exterior space of the Azart Ship into a more pleasant and welcoming place for everyone. As a recognition of their effort and dedication, the workshop participants received their participation certificates, marking a significant milestone in this community collaboration experience.
