Twenty women leaders from Villa del Mar, district of La Playa, were trained in processes of care and protection of the environment through community actions. The leaders, belonging to the refugee, migrant and host communities, received training in key concepts of sustainable development, new urban agenda and right to the city, with 3 actions defined as follows: 1) Campaign to promote recycling at home; 2) Campaign for the proper disposal of garbage in public spaces; 3) Community cleaning days. From this workshop, a series of actions were defined to implement in the 2nd semester of the year with a view to making Barranquilla a more inclusive city and the community, therefore, more supportive.
