The San Mateo community actively participated in the design workshop for the external space of the Community Development Center, within the framework of the IntegrHa-bitat initiative, which was held in the center’s infrastructure. Persons with physical disabilities, refugees and migrants, elders, children and adolescents, officers from the municipality of Manta and the UN-Habitat tactical urban planning team were part of this co-creation space to define the elements that should be incorporated to the design of the external space and the access ramps for disabled people for the IntegrHa-bitat center. The elements expressed by the participants were collected to define the architectural design and the beginning of the interventions to be executed in the mentioned area.
