Jutta Urpilainen, European Commissioner for International Partnerships, visited Panama in June 2022 as part of her tour to several countries in the region.

During the Euro Panama Partnerships event, organized by the European Union delegation in the Central American country, Urpilainen met with Betty Chemier, Focal Point Director of the Inclusive Cities Solidarity Communities project in Panama, who presented the program and its impact to the dignitary and responded to the questions she raised about it. Officials from UNHCR and IOM were also present during the event.

Thus, the delegate learned first-hand how Inclusive Cities Solidarity Communities is having a positive impact on reducing the vulnerabilities of Venezuelan refugees and migrants in Panama.
