On July 8 and 9, 2022, workshops for the co-creation of the ITU Territorial Scale Intervention Plan were held with municipal officers from the Quitumbe Zonal Administration and municipal secretaries, as well as with members from the refugee, migrant and host community. These activities seek to generate a participatory space for the identification of projects and actions that contribute to the achievement of the objectives of integration of refugees and migrants with the host communities, within the framework of the “Inclusive Cities, Communities of Solidarity” project in order to consolidate the vision and integration in the TIU. Officers from the Ministry of Territory, Habitat and Housing, the Quitumbe Zonal Administration, the Ministry
of Security, Conquito, the Ministry of Productive Development, AMC, Habitat and Housing, Mobility, SCTyPC, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education, as well as 11 municipal authorities participated, with delegates made up of 53% women and 47% men, who identified the actions, plans, projects that they execute in their instance and that will be able to articulate their execution at the territorial level to guarantee the inclusion and guarantee of the rights of people in situation of human mobility and the host community.
As a result of the activities, the activation of health promotion services and specific training in health issues in the micro-territory of work in Barrio Primero de Agosto were identified. The participants consider that it is important to strengthen the capacities and knowledge at the neighborhood level and the neighborhood committees for the application of participatory budgets for the territorial management of the territory with works that guarantee and benefit the broad inclusion of the two populations. Similarly, they pointed out that it is important to review and update local regulations regarding housing, education, to mainstream the rights approach and guarantee the integration of the population in human mobility.
